Samsung is Launching Galaxy S21 in January 2021: Leak

Rumors regarding Samsung’s next flagship release say that the company is planning to pull back the launch date for the Galaxy S21 series. Samsung typically launches new S series phones in February and sales kick off in March. However, reports are saying that the Galaxy S21 will launch next year in January instead, with sales expected to start in early February.

The news comes from SamMobile as well as a few Korean news outlets. According to the reports, the reason behind this change in launch date is to put a gap between the Galaxy S21 series and the next generation Z foldable smartphone launch. The company’s suppliers are reportedly mass-producing components for the flagship series already, which is over a month earlier than the Galaxy S20 lineup.

This means that the alleged launch date shift could be real.

The Galaxy S21 series is expected to feature the company’s own HM2 108-megapixel primary camera. As the name says, it will be a successor to the HM1 camera sensor from last year. It may have a large 5,000 mAh battery paired with 65W fast charging that will be able to fill the power cell from flat to 100% in around 30 minutes.
