Huawei’s offshoot Honor has unveiled the latest member of its smart band lineup and is the world’s first full-screen fitness tracker. The Honor band 6 is a big step up from its predecessor and is one of the first wearables that blurs the line between a smart band and a smartwatch.
The Honor band 6 comes 1.47-inch AMOLED panel with a 194 x 368-pixel resolution, and 2.5D curved glass snapped between silicon bands. The size of the display alone positions the Band 6 in smartwatch territory.
As compared to its predecessor, the new band is thicker and broader. It does not come with a capacitive key since it uses gesture navigation similar to smartphones. It does house a red-accented physical button on the right side to wake up the screen.
The fitness tracker is available in three color options for the straps. These are Meteorite Black, Seagull Grey, and Coral Powder.
In terms of functionality, the band is pretty much similar to Honor band 5. It supports ten sports modes with automatic detection, blood oxygen level monitoring, Huawei TruSeen™ 4.0 24-hour heart-rate monitoring, Huawei TruSleep™ sleep monitoring, and women health management.
The band is waterproof up to a 50-meter depth and provides up to 14 days of battery life. It is available in two variants – without NFC and with NFC.
The band’s variants are available for pre-orders and will go on sale by 11th November 2020 at the following price tags.
