The officials decided against the closing down of schools despite a surge in coronavirus infections. They were confident that the situation is under control and that the closing of schools will only affect students’ academics.

The officials also discussed delaying the academic year from April to August but could not reach a consensus. The decision has been postponed until their next meeting in December.
