Vivo X60 Series to Debut on December 29th With Zeiss Cameras

BBK-owned Vivo is all set to launch its last smartphone series of the year, X60, on 29th December.

According to the latest reports, the smartphone series will mark the beginning of a partnership between the Chinese OEM and the German optical company Zeiss. The Vivo X60 series will be the first handset on the market to feature Samsung’s newest 5nm chipset, i.e., the Exynos 1080. Moreover, it will also come with OxygenOS out of the box, Vivo’s own revamped operating system, built on the Android kernel.

Since the Vivo X50 series came with three handsets, namely: X50 5G, Vivo X5 Pro 5G, and Vivo X50 Pro+ 5G, we were expecting its successor series to arrive with the same number of models.

However, a recent teaser poster of Vivo X60 uploaded by Vivo shows that the series has two different models. The middle one is, of course, the regular Vivo X60 since it lacks a periscope lens. In another scenario, the Vivo X60 Pro and the Vivo X60 Pro+ could have a similar design with different internals.

Either way, fine details will be unveiled after two weeks at the launch event. Nevertheless, there is a high chance the smartphone will be initially launched for Chinese users only, just like the Vivo X50 series.
