Last year, Xiaomi unveiled the Mi Mix Alpha, a concept phone with a wrap-around display. It is an almost all-screen phone with the exception of a camera strip at the back.
However, the company may be working to create an actual all-screen phone this time with a pop-up camera instead. The company has patented an all-screen phone design that was published last week and renders for the patent were created by LetsGoDigital.

The phone described in the patent has a 360° surround display, but unlike the Mi Mix Alpha, there is no camera strip at the back. Instead, it has a large pop-up camera at the top featuring three lenses and an LED flash. Since the display is on both sides, the camera can easily be used as both the front and main shooter.
The top of the phone also has a power button, a secondary microphone, and another cutout of what appears to be an IR blaster. At the bottom, there is a USB C port, a speaker grille, the primary microphone, and even a headphone jack on a form factor like this.

Xiaomi may, in fact, unveil this phone in the future, but just like the Mi Mix Alpha, it will likely remain a concept phone rather than a widely available retail unit.
