The Lebanese company, Darul Handsa, has been selected to develop the ‘Master Plan 2050 for Lahore’ following the evaluation of technical proposals by three companies.
The Lahore Development Authority (LDA) Director-General, Ahmed Aziz Tarar, chaired a meeting of the consultant selection committee for the preparation of a new master plan for the provincial capital in which a financial bid of Rs. 520 million for the qualifying company was opened.

According to the Director-General, the preparation of the new master plan in a transparent manner is of top priority as it will determine the future course of the development of Lahore.
Additionally, experts and relevant stakeholders have been consulted for the definition of the Terms of Reference (TOR).

Nespak is no doubt a very good Pakistani company but chances of corruption is high there, the meinhert or whatever it’s name is from Singapore would be the best and the most advanced and hence the most expensive but Labanese company would have less chances of corruption and would be a good choice as watching the Lebanon construction structure gives a good idea that they are definitely capable to pull off a great feat like this, to enhance the structural and development shape and look of the city to any other metrpolitan western city. Besides they would have a very low bid as well. I just hope they don’t get involve in the commission gang and are able to pull this off as there is huge potential plus our brotherly country of Lebonan needs projects like this roght now and these kind of favors go a long way. In warly days after ww2 Pak helped Germany with a little grant and to this day they just not realize that but respect Pak as well as mantain good relations with us.
Only regret though is it should ve been a Pakistani company as they have huge potential but the corruption part ruins everything. That money that going to go to this Labanese company should have stayed within the countfy this increasing thw financial circulation. Pak companies needs ro build their repo good otherwise forget internationally they wont be able to land local projects as well as such this incident. I pray that Pak companies should reconsider their strategies instead of short term fast money making to long term good reputation world wide. That way it might take a little while but they will be getting huge international projects which will be more profitable than 10 local projects like the one they opt for using kick backs and corruption.
