Asus introduced the world’s first metal gradient laptop with the Adolbook 14 last year to keep things stylish and unique compared to the usual plain and simple color schemes of work-oriented laptops. Its successor has finally arrived as the Adolbook 13 2021 and it keeps the same color scheme as before.
Adolbook 13 is designed using 3D metal printing to create a psychedelic ocean color with gradient metal. It has an all-metal body and the logo is made out of toughened mirror glass. The screen measures 13.3-inches diagonally and has 1080p resolution. The laptop weighs only 1.19kg.
Overall, the notebook is thinner and lighter and also has a wider screen compared to the previous model.
Under the hood, you get Intel’s 11th gen Core i5-1135G7 processor paired with 16GB LPDDR4X RAM and 512GB SSD. The laptop has support for three-speed fan switching thanks to upgraded Cicada wing fans.
As for connectivity, there are two USB A ports, a single USB C port, an HDMI port, and an SD card reader, which is impressive considering such a thin notebook. The battery capacity is 50Wh but Asus has not revealed exact battery life numbers.
Asus Adolbook13 2021 also features a decent price tag of only $766 which is good for the specs and the build quality.
