Punjab Police to Get New Standardized ID Cards By 30 March

IG Punjab Inam Ghani has issued a standing order for the issuance of new special ID cards for all personnel of Punjab Police. The standing order has been issued under Article 10 (3) of the Police Order 2002.

Under the standing order, all officers and personnel will be required to display the new ID cards on duty. Meanwhile, all other departmental cards will be revoked on 30 March.

According to details, the new standardized ID cards will be based on the centralized database of the Human Resource Management Information System (HRMIS) and will improve the internal security and communication system of the police department.

AIG Establishment will be tasked with drafting the rules and regulations for the issuance process of the new ID cards.

AIG Administration and Security will be responsible for issuing the ID cards to all serving and retiring employees in the Central Police Office as well as serving and retiring Gazetted Officers of the department.

Meanwhile, all DPOs, CPOs, and CCPOs will issue the new ID cards to serving or retiring officers from grade 1 to 16 in their respective areas.

Retired officials and personnel can also apply for the ID cards by submitting an application to AIG Administration and Security.
