Honor V40 to Feature Top of The Line Specs With a Curved OLED Display [Leak]

The Honor V40 series was originally set to debut on January 4, but that evidently did not happen for unknown reasons. A new report now claims that the launch has been delayed to January 18 and a detailed spec sheet has appeared ahead of the launch as well.

According to the leak, the Honor V40 is going to have a 6.72-inch OLED screen with extreme curves on the sides and a punch-hole selfie camera. Screen resolution will be FHD+ and the refresh rate will be 120Hz with a 300Hz touch sampling rate. The fingerprint sensor is going to be under the display.

It will be powered by the Dimensity 1000+ SoC, which is quite close in performance to Snapdragon’s previous flagship SoC, the Snapdragon 865. It will have up to 8GB RAM and 256GB UFS 3.1. For storage expansion, you get Huawei’s proprietary NM card slot. On the software side, it will boot Android 10 with Honor’s Magic UI 4.0 on top.

The main camera on the back will be a Sony IMX766 50MP sensor that will be coupled with an 8MP ultrawide lens and a duo of 2MP cameras for macro shots and depth sensing. The punch-hole front camera is going to be a 32MP shooter.

The 4,000 mAh battery will have support for 65W fast wired charging and 45W fast wireless charging. The leak does not say anything about the pricing.
