PIA Issues New Advisory for Passengers in the Wake of Protests in Karachi

Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has advised its passengers from Karachi to leave early for the airport as the sit-ins and protests across the city may increase their travel time.

As per PIA’s rules, passengers must reach the airport at least four hours before departure time for international flights, and two hours in advance for domestic flights due to intensive security arrangements at the airports.

The spokesperson for the PIA, Abdullah Hafeez Khan, said that passengers must ensure that they have a time margin to avoid untoward situations and advised them to stay updated on the situation through either PIA’s flight inquiry service or its call center.

Today is the fourth day of protests and sit-ins against the brutal killing of 11 Hazara miners in the Machh area of Quetta, due to which the main thoroughfares of the city have been blocked.
