Huawei’s New Foldable Smartphone is Launching Later This Month [Leak]

Huawei launched both of its previous foldable, the Mate X and Mate XS, in February, and reportedly its upcoming foldable phone will follow suit.

A recent leak suggests that the upcoming Huawei foldable will be launched ‘soon’ and will come with an improved design and new impressive technology. Recently, Huawei patented a next-gen display system to minimize the appearance of the center crease. We believe the leak refers to this new technology. The display system, according to the patent, will consist of two parts that will be connected via an optimized connection to prevent stretching and squeezing of the display near the crease.

According to other leaks and rumors, the handset will be powered by the Kirin 9000 SoC built on the 5 nm process. Its recent listing on TENAA revealed that it will be built around an 8-inch display which is similar to the Mate XS. However, the handset’s form factor will most likely change. Instead of an out-folding design, it will feature an in-folding design similar to the Galaxy Fold series.

The smartphone will most likely launch by the end of this month. However, like other Huawei smartphones, it will not come with Google services. Users will have an option to load the apps via third-party services though.
