KP Education Department Denies News of PST Test Cancelation

The notification circulating on social media about the Primary School Teacher (PST) test is fake, according to the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Elementary and Secondary Education Department.

The government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa had previously taken notice of the alleged leak of a PST examination paper on social media platforms, and Chief Minister Mahmood Khan had directed the Provincial Inspection Team (PIT) to investigate the matter.

The media reports regarding the provincial government’s announcement to cancel the PST test in the districts of Lakki Marwat, DI Khan, Bannu, Karak, Kohat, Peshawar, Mardan, Charsadda, Malakand, Battagram, Upper Dir, Lower Dir, and Buner are fake, and yet to be verified by the PIT.

In another occurrence of corruption in January, the concerned authorities in Punjab had arrested two officials of the Punjab Public Service Commission (PPSC) for leaking examination questions.

As per official reports, a total of six suspects that included an HEC consultant and the regional head for the PPSC Bahawalpur had been successfully apprehended in the case.
