Xiaomi has finally unveiled its flagship wireless Bluetooth earbuds for the Chinese market with a plethora of new features and performance upgrades.
The Redmi AirDots 3 True Wireless Stereo (TWS) Bluetooth headset is an upgraded version of the previous AirDots 2 launched in 2020. The design hasn’t changed much, but there’s an interesting spec list backing it.
Xiaomi states that the new Redmi AirDots 3 are running on an entry-level TrueWireless chipset topped with Bluetooth 5.2. The connection speed is faster, the data transmission rate has increased and above all, the connection is stable.
In terms of sound quality, Xiaomi has added an aptX adaptive codec for seamless output. The earbuds offer 7 hours of non-stop audio playback, which is extendible to 30 hours with the easy-to-handle charging case that packs a 600mAh battery on standby (as advertised).
Miscellaneous specifications of the AirDots 3 include multi-functional touch support, built-in voice assistant, an MIUI-enabled pop-up window for connection and battery status. There’s also an option to activate Environment Noise Reduction during calls.
Xiaomi is offering the latest AirDots 3 earbuds for as little as $30 (199 Yuan). They will go on sale at Chinese markets from 4th March 2021 and are available in White, Black, and Pink colors.
