Punjab to Set Up Career Counseling Centers For Students

The Punjab government will set up career counseling centers in educational institutions all over the province.

It was revealed by the provincial Minister for Higher Education, Raja Yasir Humayun, during a visit to Lahore College for Women University (LCWU).

While speaking with LCWU’s FM radio and web TV, the Minister said that the provincial government will also launch a web portal for career counseling, funds for which have already been released.

The Minister also visited the LCWU’s Department of Mass Communication and called on Vice-Chancellor LCWU, Prof. Dr. Bushra Mirza, while Chairperson of Mass Communication Department, Dr. Anjum Zia, briefed the Minister about the equipment in the department’s studios and laboratories.

He lauded Mass Communication Department’s administration and requested all universities to follow in the footsteps of LCWU for setting up modern studios and laboratories.

Raja Yasir Humayun interacted with students during a Q/A session and briefed them about the achievements and future plans related to the education sector of the incumbent provincial government.
