Google Pixel 5a Launches Mid 2021, Pixel 6 to have Centered Punch-Hole Display: Leak

According to a new leak citing an unnamed source, Google’s next smartphone announcement is going to be the affordable sibling of the Pixel 5, the Pixel 5a. We may get to see an official announcement as early as June 11 this year.

The Pixel 4a became official in August last year, but it appears that we will get to see the successor earlier than expected. Though it is worth mentioning that the Pixel 4a’s launch got delayed and we hope that does not happen to the Pixel 5a as well.

According to previous reports, the Pixel 5a’s punch-hole selfie camera is going to be smaller than its predecessor but will be aligned in the left corner just as before.

The Pixel 6, on the other hand, is expected to have a centered punch-hole cutout instead, akin to recent Samsung Galaxy phones. It may also be capable of recording 4K videos through the selfie camera.

There is no word on a launch date for the Pixel 6, but it is expected to arrive later this year. Just like the Pixel 5, the Pixel 6 may also be a mid-range device with impressive camera performance, but hopefully with a cheaper price tag than before.
