Motorola Teases Global Launch of Moto G100 With Flagship Specs

Motorola announced its first Snapdragon 870 powered handset, the Motorola Edge S, in January this year. The handset comes with top-notch specifications and only costs $300, which is why it was termed the ‘Flagship killer’ a moniker that was usually associated with OnePlus phones until 2018.

Reportedly, the handset is getting a global release. Although, it will be rebranded under the G-series. The company recently posted a teaser for a phone with a Snapdragon 870 processor, and we believe it is the anticipated Moto G100 (most likely the rebranded Moto Edge S).

The short teaser video was uploaded on Twitter by the official Motorola Global account. Later on, it was also shared by Motorola Germany which means the handset will also launch in Europe soon.

The teaser, apart from confirming that the device will have a Snapdragon 870 processor, also shows a glimpse of the device revealing some more details about the handset. The phone will have a USB-C port, a 3.5mm audio jack, a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, a flat display, and a glossy finish.

If the Moto G100 is indeed a rebranded variant of the Motorola Edge S, it will feature a 6.47-inch 1080p display, dual punch-hole front cameras, and a 64 MP quad-core rear camera setup.

Since Motorola has already started to tease the phone, the launch date will be announced soon.
