ZTE S Phones to Launch With Quad Cameras

ZTE is reportedly working on launching a new lineup of smartphones dubbed the S-series. Recently, the company’s Mobile Devices VP, Ni Fei, posted an image of an upcoming phone revealing a unique dual-textured camera bump with four imaging sensors.

The markings on the camera bump reveal that the main camera will be a 64 MP sensor which will be accompanied by a 16mm ultrawide-angle snapper. Clearly, there is no telephoto unit so the other two are almost certainly macro and portrait cams.

The company has not revealed how the new series will be position, i.e., whether it will be marked as a flagship or as a mid-range device. Nevertheless, speculations are that it will complement the ZTE Blade line. Apart from camera details, we know nothing about the upcoming handset.

In other news, ZTE recently uploaded a picture on its Weibo profile giving away that its next flagship, the Axon 30, will have three flagship cameras. The image reveals that the ZTE Trinity setup will implement “more than two” flagship-tier shooters.

As far as other specifications of the handset are concerned, the company has not revealed anything. However, since the company has officially started teasing the devices, we will get more information soon.
