Xiaomi Launches Poco F3 and X3 Pro With Low Prices and Flagship Specs

The latest additions to Xiaomi’s Poco lineup are the Poco F3 and X3 Pro, both of which are familiar devices. This is because the Poco F3 is the global variant of the Redmi K40 that released in China earlier, and the Poco X3 Pro is an update to the Poco X3 2020 with a flagship-grade chipset.

Poco F3

As mentioned earlier, the Poco F3 is the same phone as the Redmi K40 released last month in China. The two phones have the exact same hardware such as the 120Hz AMOLED display with 1080p resolution, Snapdragon 870 SoC with 8GB/256GB memory, and a 48MP triple camera setup. The battery capacity is 4,520 mAh with support for 33W fast charging through a USB C port.

Poco X3 Pro

Design and Display

The design and display are no different from before. The Poco X3 Pro has a 6.67” LCD with an FHD+ resolution display with a smooth 120Hz refresh rate. The touch sampling rate goes up to 240Hz and there is a single punch-hole cutout for the selfie camera at the top.

The camera lenses on the back can be seen in an X-shaped alignment, though this has nothing to do with the naming scheme as all previous Poco X phones had different designs.

Internals and Storage

The biggest update in the Pro model is the Snapdragon 860 chipset, which is a slightly improved version of the Snapdragon 855+ SoC. It has the same octa-core CPU and the Adreno 640 GPU, but the memory configurations are 6GB/128GB and 8GB/256GB.

The phone will boot Android 11 out of the box with MIUI 12 on top.

Cameras

Oddly, the main camera’s resolution has been dialed down to 48MP on the Pro model, but the rest of the configuration is the same. There is an 8MP ultrawide unit with 119-degree FoV and a duo of 2MP sensors for depth sensing and macro photography. 1080p video recording goes up to 60FPS and 120FPS just as before.

The punch-hole selfie camera is a 20MP snapper.

Battery and Pricing

There are no differences when it comes to battery specifications. You still get the same 5,160 mAh cell seen on the Poco X3 NFC version with 33W fast charging and an improved cooling system to keep thermals in check during charging.

The Poco X3 Pro will bring Phantom Black, Frost Blue, and Metal Bronze color options as shown above with a price tag of only €249.
