Amazfit T-Rex Pro Launched With 10ATM Water Resistance and 18-Day Battery

Huami’s Amazfit brand has globally launched its latest T-Rex Pro smartwatch lineup with improved 10ATM water resistance and rugged design.

As the name suggests, the new watch is an upgrade to the original T-Rex which had been a hot-selling product with encouraging reviews.

The T-Rex Pro packs a 1.3-inch AMOLED display with 360p resolution and an impressive always-on display. There’s Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection coupled with an oleophobic coating, protecting the watch from hard impacts.

It comes with a 3-axis acceleration sensor, a blood-oxygen saturation measurement system, a Geomagnetic sensor, an Altimeter, a 3-axis gyroscope, 10 ATM water-resistance, and four global navigation satellite systems. Bluetooth 5.0 BLE has been added for optimal connectivity.

The design is attractive and the strap feels skin-friendly since its made out of silicone.

In terms of features embedded within its submerged user interface, the T-Rex Pro comes with some 100 sports modes supported by the brand’s operating system (RTOS). There’s a 24-hour heart rate monitor running on the BioTracker-2 PPG Bio-Tracking Sensor onboard that alerts users if the heart rate is too high. The brand has included a sleep tracking feature in the smartwatch to enhance usability.

For power, there’s a 390mAh battery that can typically last as much as 18 days or up to 9 days on heavy usage. The battery runs 40 hours on GPS mode and takes 90 minutes (advertised) to charge, which is done via a magnetic charging base.
