Xiaomi Mi Mix and Mi 11 Pro Will Only be Available in China, Mi 11 Ultra to Launch Globally

Xiaomi’s big launch event is kicking off later today to unveil some of the most noteworthy devices for the company. We are expecting to see the top-tier models for the Mi 11 lineup as well as the affordable Mi 11 Lite. Just ahead of its release, we have even more details officially confirmed by the company.

Xiaomi has just confirmed that the Xiaomi Mi 11 Lite will be the first phone to feature the Snapdragon 780G SoC.

The Snapdragon 780G chip was announced only a few days ago. It is the first 5nm chip for Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 700 series, meaning it is based on the same node as Qualcomm’s current top-tier chip, the Snapdragon 888. This means that the Snapdragon 780G will be the most powerful chip in the SD700 series and will likely be quite close to the flagship SD800 series in terms of performance.

Xiaomi has also confirmed that the Mi 11 Lite will be the lightest and thinnest Mi phone in history. There are no details on this yet, but the official image above gives us a good idea of what to expect. The phone will also have some of the smallest display bezels we have seen on a smartphone. Check out the official poster below.

We also have some details on other Xiaomi devices launching later today. We are expecting to see the Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra, Pro, and the Mi Mix, but a new report has revealed that the Mi Mix and Mi 11 Pro will be exclusive to China.

The news comes from tipster Xiaomiui on Twitter, who has said that the Mi 11 Pro and Mi Mix will not make it to the global market. However, he also adds some good news to it that the Mi 11 Ultra will, in fact, launch in the international market.

The Mi 10 Ultra never launched globally, so it is great to see that the successor is going global.
