CAA Mandates Inbound Travelers to Submit Information Using Pass Track App

In view of the prevailing COVID-19 situation, the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) has issued new SOPs for inbound travelers.

According to Director Air Transport CAA, Irfan Sabir, all passengers traveling to Pakistan will be required to provide detailed information through the CAA’s ‘Pass Track app.’

Developed by the National Information Technology Board (NITB), the Pass Track app is a part of wide range of measures taken by the CAA to streamline the management of travelers coming to Pakistan during the COVID-19 pandemic.

It aids in recording and tracking of basic information of passengers. The application also comes with scanning options for national and international identity cards and passports.

All airline operators will be required to ensure strict compliance with the latest CAA directive from 1 May. In case of failure to comply with the CAA’s order, strict action will be taken against airline operators.

Furthermore, the condition of submission of health declaration forms will be abolished once the mandatory requirement of furnishing information through the Pass Track app comes into effect on 1 May.
