Lahore’s law and order situation has currently been deemed questionable as a group of thieves reportedly ‘vanished’ with an Assistant Sub Inspector’s (ASI) car that had been parked outside the police station in Allama Iqbal Town.
At the time of the incident, ASI Asghar Ali was at the station, and police guards had been patrolling the area from where the car was stolen.
The car heist took place on 20 April and has been registered at the Allama Iqbal Town police station. The case remains unresolved as the state authorities have not been able to catch the perpetrators.

Carjacking and the theft of car parts are rampant in various parts of the country. A similar incident took place in the Defence Area of Karachi when two men were spotted stealing expensive parts of a car parked on the roadside.
What is even more shocking is that the thieves had managed to complete their operation in under two minutes. They were successful in taking away a car part worth Rs. 60,000 in such a short span, while the concerned authorities are yet to locate their hideout.
