The government of Japan has awarded ‘The Order of the Rising Sun, Gold Rays with Rosette’ to Pakistan’s Honorary Technical Advisor at the Federal Board of Investment (BoI), and the Director of the National Engineering Corporation (NEC), Syed Feroz Alam Shah.
The Japanese government announced the foreign recipients of the 2021 Spring Conferment of Decorations in which Feroz Shah was recognized for his contributions to the promotion of economic relations between Pakistan and Japan.

Shah facilitated new entrants to the Special Economic Zone (SEZ) in Pakistan and helped them enter the Pakistani market. He also cooperated with the government of Pakistan and dealt with the complex application processes. He has worked hard for the changes in the SEZ Act, especially regarding the lack of incentives for the industry.

Additionally, Shah had helped in the building of the ‘Pak-Japan Culture Centre in Quetta’ that is run by the Pak-Japan Friendship Society (PJFS).
