Big Decisions Expected During Imran Khan’s Upcoming Visit to Saudi Arabia

Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan will visit Saudi Arabia between 7 and 9 May to meet the Saudi leadership, perform Umrah, and discuss the release of Pakistani prisoners from Saudi jails.

He will visit the kingdom on the invitation of Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.

According to the Federal Minister for Information, Fawad Chaudhry, the premier will offer special prayers for the country and the entire Muslim Ummah during his visit.

The visit is crucial as it will strengthen the relations between the two countries, he remarked.

Meanwhile, Pakistan’s new Ambassador to Saudi Arabia, Lieutenant General (retd.) Bilal Akbar, announced in an interview with the Saudi media that both sides will sign memorandums of understanding (MoUs) in three areas during the PM’s visit.

He added that a meeting will be convened for the premier to raise the issue of the release of prisoners, and it is expected that hundreds of prisoners will soon be released from Saudi jails.
