KU Announces Its Final Decision on Classes & Exams Schedule

The University of Karachi (KU) has issued new standard operating procedures (SOPs) and directives for entrance to its premises amidst the changing coronavirus situation in the country.

A notification issued by the university today revealed that the decision to conduct face-to-face classes for the morning and evening shifts has not been taken yet, but the online sessions and all the semester examinations will be conducted as scheduled.

KU’s security, paramedical and technical sphere staffs will remain on campus, but the central and departmental libraries will remain closed until further notice.

Meanwhile, public transport and business activities have been resumed in Sindh under strict compliance with the COVID-19 SOPs.

According to a notification in this regard issued by the Sindh Home Department, businesses will operate five days a week from 6 am to 8 pm.

“Saturday and Sunday will be observed as closed days for business,” the notification read.
