Pakistan and Tajikistan Sign Agreements in Diverse Areas

Pakistan and Tajikistan have entered into 12 accords for cooperation in diverse fields including trade, anti-corruption, infrastructure, education, and culture.

President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon and Prime Minister Imran Khan witnessed the signing ceremony as the representatives from two sides signed the Agreements and the Memorandum of Understanding.

The two leaders also signed a Joint Declaration encompassing details of discussions taken place during the visit of President Rahmon.

Here are the details of these agreements:

  • Academic Cooperation Agreement between the Tajik Technical University named after the academician M. S Osimi and the Indus University of Pakistan.
  • Agreement on Cooperation between the Chamber of Commerce & Industry of Tajikistan and the Chamber of Commerce & Industry Quetta, Balochistan.

  • Agreement on Cooperation between the Chamber of Commerce & Industry of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Sialkot Chamber of Commerce & Industry of Pakistan.
  • MoU between the Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Tajikistan.
  • MoU between the Agency for State Financial Control & Struggle against Corruption of the Republic of Tajikistan and the National Accountability Bureau of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan.
  • Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Government of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan for Cooperation in the Field of the Prevention & Liquidation of Emergency Situations.
  • Agreement between the Government of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan and the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan in the field of Art and Culture.
