The government of Sindh will announce the schedule for the Matriculation and Intermediate examination for the province within a few days.
The provincial Minister for Education, Saeed Ghani, addressed a press conference on Wednesday and said that the examination schedule announced by the Federal Minister for Education and Professional Training, Shafqat Mahmood, is not applicable to Sindh.

He emphasized that the government will ensure strict compliance with the standard operating procedures (SOPs) while conducting the examinations, and that the provincial government will abide by the decisions taken during the Inter-Provincial Education Ministers Conference (IPEMC) regarding the assessment of Classes 9 and 10 based on their elective subjects and Mathematics, while assessing Classes 11 and 12 on the basis of their elective subjects only.

Prior to this, Minister Mahmood had announced that the Matriculation and Intermediate examinations based on the elective subjects only will be held, and added that “if we do not conduct the exams, then students will not even employ minimum efforts to study”.
