Motorola Moto G Stylus Gets a 5G Model for $399

Motorola updated the G Stylus lineup earlier this year with a refreshed design and upgraded specifications. The same thing is happening once again, but this time we are getting a 5G model with even better internals.

Design and Display

The display is no different from before, being a 6.8-inch LCD panel with 1080p resolution just like the previous model. The cornered punch-hole selfie camera is still there as well.

The main camera is now a square-shaped module, but it is the same configuration as before. The fingerprint sensor is just underneath the camera under the Motorola logo.

Internals and Storage

The 11nm Snapdragon 678 has been swapped out for an 8nm Snapdragon 480 5G SoC. This chipset not only has a faster CPU but is also paired with more storage and RAM at 6GB/256GB. The memory card slot for storage expansion is still there.

For software, you will get pure Android 11 out of the box with updates promised for 2 years.

Cameras

The camera setup remains unchanged as well. The main 48MP camera is accompanied by an 8MP ultrawide unit, a 5MP macro camera, and a 2MP depth sensor for portrait shots. This camera is capable of 1080p 60FPS and 4K 30FPS video recording.

The punch-hole selfie camera is a 16MP lens.

Battery and Pricing

Battery capacity has been upgraded to 5,000 mAh (up from 4,000 mAh) but there is still no support for fast charging sadly.

The Moto G Stylus 5G will only be offered in Cosmic Emerald color (as shown above) for $399.
