Peshawar to Impose Restrictions on Unvaccinated Individuals

The administration of Peshawar has decided to impose official restrictions on citizens who refuse to get inoculated against the coronavirus.

According to a notification issued by the district administration, essential services will be provided to only those individuals only who have been vaccinated and have obtained a COVID-19 vaccination certificate.

An order issued by Peshawar’s Deputy Commissioner detailed that the provision of essential services in the provincial capital, including various legal documents, will be subject to a coronavirus vaccination report.

Registry, fard (property ownership document), attestation of mutation, issuance of domiciles, applications or complaints, issuance of licenses, issuance of NOCs (no-objection certificates), benevolent funds, arms licenses, and other essential services for the general public will now require proof of their coronavirus vaccinations.

A similar move has been made by the government of Sindh, for which Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah has announced that the salaries of its employees will be withheld if they do not get vaccinated.
