On June 30, 2021, the deadline for the vehicle token tax payment will expire, which implies that vehicle owners have three days to pay the taxes without penalty.
Rawalpindi Excise and Taxation Department (E&T) had decided to facilitate vehicle owners by extending the deadline for token tax submission to 30th June 2021.
The order for this relaxation was reportedly issued by the office about three weeks ago. The citizens can pay the token tax amounts at the excise office between 9 am and 4 pm on the working days.

As per the statement from the E&T spokesperson, a 5 percent special concession would also be offered to the vehicle owners, who would pay the token tax through e-Pay.
About 3 weeks ago, the Islamabad E&T department also decided to extend the deadline for token tax submission to 30 June 2021. As per the official notice, citizens will be able to submit their token tax at the excise office between 9 am and 8 pm.
The time for fee submission was also extended beyond office hours so that the public to conveniently submit their fees before the deadline to avoid unnecessary fines. The Chief Commissioner of Islamabad also told that the Islamabad E&T office will remain open on Saturdays until the deadline for people to conveniently submit their fees on the weekend.
