The former Special Assistant to Prime Minister Imran Khan on Overseas Pakistanis, Zulfi Bukhari, has once again denied reports about an allegedly covert trip to Israel.

The news is based on a report by a Hebrew newspaper called Israel Hayom. According to it, Bukhari had traveled to Israel to meet the Mossad chief, Yossi Cohen. The news was also credited to a “source in Islamabad”.
Bukhari rebutted the claims and said, “Funny bit is Pakistani paper says I went to Israel based on ‘Israeli news source’ and Israeli paper says I went to Israel based on a ‘Pakistani source’ — wonder who this imaginative Pakistani source is”.

He asked the media to “show a little maturity and not promote fake news,” and explained that “the last time when the same propaganda was run, not only did Bukhari deny and sent a legal notice but the Middle East Monitor, who reported it, also had to apologize”.
