Balochistan Govt to Provide Monthly Stipends to Special Persons

The government of Balochistan is planning to start a special funding program, KUMAK, worth Rs. 2 billion in the fiscal year 2021-22 for specially-abled persons to provide them with sustainable and respectable livelihood opportunities.

The provincial government will provide a monthly stipend to Persons with Disabilities (PWDs) and give them an opportunity and support so that they can become productive part of society.

An official of the Balochistan government said, “It is our responsibility to create a healthy environment for special people living in rural and urban areas of the province so that they will be able to counter economic challenges in their lives”.

The government is also planning to purchase special vans for the physically challenged from this year’s financial budget to provide them with the transport facility.

Besides, the government will also distribute tricycles to the deserving specially-abled people.

“It is also being planned to award 400 more tricycles in the fiscal year 2021-22,” the official added.
