The 22-year old batsman has been one of the most sought-after openers in franchise leagues around the world and has made a name for himself as one of the most destructive openers in T20 cricket. His international career, on the other hand, has not started as he would have hoped. Banton has played 9 T20Is and 6 ODIs for England but failed to make an impact on the international level.

Shaheen Afridi, on the other hand, is one of the most prolific fast bowlers in world cricket and is the spearhead of Pakistan’s bowling unit. The left-arm seamer made his international debut in 2018 and has since gone on to play 17 Tests, 28 ODIs, and 28 T20Is for the Men in Green.
The 21-year-old has been magnificent for Pakistan in all three formats, having picked up 58 Test wickets, 53 ODI wickets, and 31 T20I wickets in his three years in international cricket.
Both the youngsters were part of the T20I squad in the recently concluded series between England and Pakistan. While Shaheen was a crucial part of Pakistan’s line-up, Banton was overlooked in all three matches and did not feature in the series.
