Initially, the five-match T20I series was scheduled to begin on 27 July but the schedule of the series had to be revised because of the delay in the ODI series between Australia and West Indies due to COVID-19.
Both the cricket boards have decided that the five-match T20I series will be reduced to four matches and the series will now commence on 28 July at Kensignton Oval, Barbados. The rest of the three T20Is will be played at Guyana National Stadium on 31 July, 1 August, and 3 August.
Ricky Skerritt, CWI President said, “Together with the PCB, CWI has examined various scenarios, and we jointly agreed that the best solution in the present circumstances is to cancel the first T20I and play a four-match T20I series starting on Wednesday and keep the rest of the tour schedule unchanged.”
