NCOC Announces Its Decision on Schools Reopening

A meeting of the National Command & Operation Center (NCOC) was concluded today with the decision to conduct the board examinations and reopen schools as scheduled.

None of the provincial Ministers of Education attended the meeting and the final decision for the reopening of schools and the holding of the board examinations have been left with the provinces.

The provinces have decided to follow the previous decision, and the government of Punjab will reopen schools from 2 August.

According to reports, classes may be rescheduled in consideration of the pandemic situation.

In other news, the head of the National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC), Asad Umar, declared that Pakistan has set another daily vaccination record. He explained that 778,000 vaccinations were carried out yesterday along with a new record of 561,000 achieved for the first dose. He added that the new target is to exceed one million vaccinations in a day.
