The Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has officially activated an around-the-clock toll-free helpline to help tourists in emergency situations.
According to the Tourism department, the helpline: 1422 will remain fully operational seven days a week and will provide guidelines to both domestic and international tourists on request.

Travelers can call it to receive information about various tourist spots, weather forecasts, travel advisories, nearby attractions and utilities, and emergency-related guidelines.
Called the ‘Tourist Facilitation Hub’, the helpline is available in beta at the moment.

Meanwhile, the government putting finishing touches on the facility for urgent deployment, and the recruitment of police constables for high-volume tourism spots is also under consideration. If this proposition is approved, the government plans to station the new constables at the tourist spots in Swat, Upper Dir, Chitral, Abbottabad, and Mansehra.
