Afghanistan’s former communication minister, Syed Ahmed Sadat, is now working as a pizza delivery person in Germany.
Sadat joined former President Ashraf Ghani’s cabinet in 2018 as the communication and technology minister and remained on the post till 2020.

He stepped down from the post after growing differences with the then President and subsequently settled in Leipzig, Germany where he is now earning his livelihood by delivering pizzas.
The news made international headlines when several publications, including Al Jazeera Arabia, posted his images on Twitter.

Sadat, who holds two master’s degrees in communication and electronic engineering from Oxford University, has work experience of over 23 years. Nonetheless, he has chosen to lead a simple life in Germany.

“At present, I am leading a very simple life. I feel safe in Germany, and I’m happy to be with my family in Leipzig,” Sadat told a local daily.
The former minister said that he wants to save money and do a German course before resuming his studies.
