Lahore Announces a Massive Restriction Campaign Against Unvaccinated Citizens

District administration of Lahore has decided to ban the entry of unvaccinated citizens to public and private places including shopping malls, hotels, restaurants, and transport after 30 August.

Speaking to the media, Deputy Commissioner (DC) Lahore, Mudasir Riaz, urged all unvaccinated citizens to receive the first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine before 30 August, adding that otherwise they will be denied access to public and private spaces in the provincial capital.

He said after 30 August, unvaccinated citizens will neither be allowed to enter shopping malls, hotels, and restaurants, nor will they be allowed to travel in buses, wagons, trains, and coasters.

Teaching and non-teaching staff of schools, colleges, and universities, transporters and bus stand employees, and staff members of guest houses, hotels, and food delivery businesses should also get themselves vaccinated before 30 August otherwise stern action will be taken against them, DC Lahore added.

Besides, DC Lahore visited different markets of the provincial capital to check the rates of essential commodities.

He imposed a fine of Rs. 100,000 on a store that was overcharging consumers and ordered the arrest of its manager.
