Samsung Galaxy M32 5G Launched With Dimensity 720 and 48MP Rear Camera

The Samsung Galaxy M32 launched in June this year and now we are getting a follow-up 5G model, the Galaxy M32 5G. The device gets a better chipset but brings several downgrades alongside.

Design and Display

Upfront, there is a 6.5-inch LCD with 720p resolution, a downgrade from the 90Hz 1080p AMOLED panel of the original device. The design on the back has been updated to look exactly like the Galaxy A52 and A72 devices released earlier this year.

The waterdrop notch front camera is still there and so is the side-mounted fingerprint sensor.

Internals and Storage

The Dimensity 720 SoC has replaced the Helio G80 with a faster CPU, GPU, and better battery life. This is paired with two memory configurations, 6GB/128GB and 8GB/128GB. Though you can also expand it up to 1TB with a microSD card.

The Android 11 based on One UI 3.1 promises two years of OS updates and three years of security updates.

Cameras

The camera setup is a downgrade over the original since the 64MP camera has been replaced with a 48MP unit. The 8MP ultrawide shooter is still there and so are the macro and depth-sensing cameras. This setup can record 1080p videos at 30 FPS.

The 20MP front camera has been swapped out for a 13MP shooter.

Battery and Pricing

You get the same 5,000 mAh battery as the 4G Galaxy M32, but the 25W fast charging has been toned down to 15W.

The Galaxy M32 5G has been launched in India for $280, but you will have to pay $310 for more RAM. It will be available in Slate Black and Sky Blue color options.
