Pakistani Students Can Now Apply for Fully Funded YES Scholarship

Pakistani students can apply online for the fully funded Kennedy-Lugar Youth Exchange and Study Program for the academic year 2022-23 by 15 September.

Kennedy-Lugar Youth Exchange and Study (K-L YES) is a one-year high school exchange program, sponsored by the US Department of State’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs, and implemented by a consortium of organizations headed by the American Councils for International Education.

Sindh is Reopening All Universities For In-Person Classes


Its eligibility criteria require candidates to be Pakistani citizens, between 15 to 17 years of age by 15 August 2022, and currently enrolled in either Grades 9 or 10 or in O Level.

The program encourages females, students with physical abilities, and students from non-elite and government schools to apply.

The fully-funded program will cover the airfare, accommodation, meals, health insurance, and stipends of the selected candidates.

K-L YES has provided scholarships to 1,351 high school students from across Pakistan since 2003, giving them an opportunity to attend high school in the United States for a year.
