Lahore’s Unvaccinated Citizens Barred From Petrol, Transport and Restaurant Facilities

Unvaccinated citizens will not be able to avail themselves of Lahore’s fuel pumps, transport, and restaurant services from Wednesday onward.

The Lahore District Administration has declared that only vaccinated citizens will be permitted to enter shopping malls but unvaccinated citizens “will be arrested immediately”.

Additionally, the places that have been sealed for violating the COVID-19 Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) will remain closed for now.

The Government of Punjab will also impose the Punjab Employees Efficiency, Discipline, and Accountability Act 2006 for unvaccinated government employees in Lahore.

In other news, the Lahore Electric Supply Company (LESCO) has announced that its unvaccinated employees will not be paid.

Its spokesperson, Afshan Mudassir, revealed that 5,000 of 23,000 employees need to be inoculated.

“The salaries have been stopped in light of the decision by the National Command and Operation Centre,” she said and added that the employees had been warned “numerous times”.
