This was decided in a meeting high-level meeting chaired by the deputy commissioner of Lahore on Tuesday. The meeting, also attended by the CCPO Lahore, decided to take strict measures to implement COVID-19 SOPs.

The government employees, who have failed to get vaccinated by the 31 August deadline, will also be charged under the PEEDA Act.

Further, vaccination cards of citizens visiting shops, markets, and shopping malls would be checked, while outlets violating COVID-19 SOPs would be sealed for at least one week.

DC Lahore said that only vaccinated people will be allowed to enter the shopping malls from Wednesday. Enforcement committees at the Police Station level across the provincial capital will ensure non-provision of transport and restaurant services and fuel to unvaccinated people.
