TCL has unveiled a new budget phone in the South American and African markets dubbed the TCL 20Y. It has a starting price of only $132 and it should be arriving in other markets soon.
Starting off with the display, it is a 6.52-inch IPS LCD with 720p resolution, a waterdrop notch selfie camera, and a thick bottom bezel. The physical fingerprint sensor is on the back of the device.
The phone has a thick form factor overall and is a bit heavier than usual budget phones in this price range.
Under the hood, it features the budget Helio A25 SoC with up to 4GB RAM and 128GB storage which is expandable through a microSD card.
The phone boots Android 11 out of the box with TCL’s custom skin on top.
The main triple camera setup on the back includes a 48MP primary sensor alongside a duo of 2MP shooters for depth sensing and macro photography. As for videos, it can record 1080p clips at 30 FPS.
The waterdrop notch front camera is an 8MP snapper.
The 4,000 mAh battery takes charge from a USB C port but it lacks any sort of fast charging support.
The TCL 20Y is available in Black and Blue colors for $132
