Here’s what some of the finalists are saying

Junaid Lashari | vCarpool

vCarpool aims to be the largest intercity ride-sharing app of Pakistan. We connect people going on similar routes. I’m very thrilled to be among the finalists of Shell Tameer Program. They have been very facilitating since the beginning. They provided us with guidance and insights that helped us improve our pitches. I’m really looking forward to winning this program as I believe it will act as a catalyst to provide us with the necessary training which will give us the explosive growth which every start-up aspires for.

Anusha Fatima | TrashIt

What I loved about being a part of  Shell Tameer program was the great interaction they provided even in difficult times such as these. It is remarkable to see how they facilitate all the participants and give them enough time to prepare a great pitch on their own. We are hoping that through this platform, our startup TrashIt can help promote sustainable energy in Pakistan by collecting organic waste and turning it into a natural fertilizer.

Alveena Sohail | Civixa

Shell Tameer program has taken all of us through a very smooth process where we were provided with the proper guidance and mentorship via a virtual system. I am positive that being one of the top finalists of Shell Tameer Awards will give Civixa the break we were hoping, by projecting us into the right market and obviously the financial incentives. Through Civixa, we hope to empower women from remote areas to excel in the IT industry without ever having to leave their homes and with a very basic skill set.

Sahar Akbar | Learnovate

As an IBA graduate and as an aspiring entrepreneur, I was always looking to leverage my ideas into motion. Ironically, the pandemic provided me with the perfect opportunity to come up with something groundbreaking in the form of Learnovate, which is an online learning platform for kids of all ages. Shell Tameer has been a great help in this regard as they connected me to the proper mentors which gave good and honest advice on how to improve Learnovate further. What sets this program apart from the rest is that through Shell Tameer, startups and new businesses get a proper platform and coverage to market themselves.
