Pak Suzuki Stops Bookings for Cultus and Alto

Pak Suzuki Motor Company (PSMC) has indefinitely suspended the bookings of its most popular vehicles, the VXL and AGS variants of the Cultus, and the VXL variant of the Alto. The suspension of booking has been due to the shortage of essential car parts at the assembly plant.

Several recent reports have suggested that the company has discontinued the Suzuki Swift and will soon be retiring the Suzuki Bolan passenger van and Ravi pickup. Although it has been reported that the Swift, Bolan, and Ravi shall be replaced with new-generation vehicles, there is no official word as to when they might arrive.

A week ago, it was also confirmed that PSMC shall be reviving Suzuki Bolan’s air-conditioned variant. Reports from the industry state that the AC variant is intended to give the sales of the Suzuki Bolan a final push since it is about to retire one of its oldest cash cows.

It is pertinent to note that for the past several months, PSMC has been enjoying the top spot in terms of monthly vehicle sales and quarterly profits, which is due in large part to the popular, albeit limited lineup of vehicles. As the company is currently running short on parts and shrunken production numbers, there is likely to be a drop in sales this month.
