Xiaomi Civi Launched With 120Hz Screen and Several Selfie Features

Xiaomi Civi was expected to be a rebranded Xiaomi 11 Lite 5G NE, but that is not the case. Civi has just become official in China as a separate device with different specifications and design.

Design and Display

The display is a 6.55-inch AMOLED panel with FHD+ resolution and unlike the 11 Lite, it has a 120Hz refresh rate. The punch-hole camera has been moved to the center and the main camera design has been updated as well. The design almost resembles a Vivo phone.

The fingerprint sensor is still underneath the display.

Internals and Storage

The phone’s main driver is the Snapdragon 778G with 8/12GB RAM options and 128GB/256GB storage variants with UFS 3.1. There is no SD card slot for storage expansion but 128GB/256GB should be plenty for most people.

The phone boots Android 11 out of the box with Xiaomi’s updated MIUI 12.5 on top.

Cameras

The main camera configuration is the same as the 11 Lite 5G NE. The primary sensor is a 64MP shooter alongside an 8MP ultrawide camera and a 5MP telephoto lens that can double as a macro camera. This camera is capable of 4K recording at 30 FPS and 1080p slow motion.

Unlike the Xiaomi 11 Lite, Civi emphasizes the front camera with a 32MP shooter alongside autofocus, dual-soft LED flash, and “skin renewal” tech.

Battery and Pricing

The battery capacity has been raised to 4,500 mAh with support for 55W super-fast charging. This should charge the phone from 0 to 100% in less than an hour.

The Xiaomi Civi will be available in Blue, Black, and Pink color options for a starting price of $404.
