Islamabad to Get Drone Food Delivery Service Soon

Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) administration has once again proved why it is the most advanced and technology-loving civil administration in the country.

This time around, the ICT administration has decided to introduce food delivery drones to deliver food to the citizens of Islamabad at their doorsteps.

Taking to Twitter, Deputy Commissioner (DC) Islamabad, Hamza Shafqaat, penned that a drone food delivery service will be launched in the federal capital in the next few weeks.

Speaking exclusively with ProPakistani, DC Islamabad revealed that the drone food delivery service in the capital will be launched in collaboration with foodpanda.

He added that the soft launch of the drone food delivery service will take place in October. Orphaned children from Pakistan Sweet Home will be invited to the event and they will be treated with food that will be delivered to them through a drone.

DC Islamabad said that the drone food delivery service will be officially launched after taking Civil Drone Authority (CDA) and Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) on board.

Citizens of Islamabad have also lauded the ICT administration for the initiative. Let’s have a look at some of the reactions.

Residents of other cities have also called on their respective civil administrations for such initiatives.
