Margalla Hills National Park Welcomes Leopard Cats

The Margalla Hills National Park (MHNP) is set to welcome two more leopard cats.

The news was confirmed by the Islamabad Wildlife Management Board (IWMB) today, and its Chairperson, Rina Saeed Khan, told The News that it “will receive two leopard cats from the Sindh Wildlife Department (SWD) that would spend some time in the Rehabilitation Center”.

She said that the SWD had recently rescued two leopard cats from Karachi’s Empress Market and decided to shift them to the Rehabilitation Center in the national park.
