Apple Announces M3 MacBook Launch Event for Next Week

Apple has officially revealed its upcoming launch event scheduled for next Monday, which falls on October 30, just one day before Halloween. Embracing the Halloween spirit, the company has cleverly themed the event with the tagline “Scary fast.”

This announcement aligns with a credible source’s earlier prediction of a late October timeframe for Apple’s next event, specifically focused on Mac-related products. It’s safe to say that we can anticipate being pleasantly surprised by the remarkable speed of the latest Mac offerings.

The event is set to commence at 5:00 pm PT, which translates to 8:00 pm in New York, 1:00 am on October 31 in London, 2:00 am on October 31 in Paris and Berlin, and 5:00 am on October 31 in Pakistan.

Regarding the anticipated announcements, the rumor mill has been abuzz with talk of an updated 24″ iMac and a new MacBook Pro, expected to come in two sizes, likely 14″ and 16″. These new computing devices are likely to be powered by Apple’s M3 chip, giving credence to the “Scary fast” theme.

This new M3 chip is going to compete with Intel’s rivaling 13th-generation processors for laptops as well as Qualcomm’s newly announced Snapdragon X Elite chip. The M3 will have big shoes to fill since the Snapdragon X Elite claims to be faster than the M2 in peak multi-threaded performance.

There were also rumors of a surprise launch event for iPads right around this week, but clearly, those claims were false and it seems that Apple is putting its next generation of tablets on hold for now.
