Sindh has announced a public holiday on Wednesday, December 27th, to commemorate the death anniversary of former Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto.
In a notification, the caretaker government announced that December 27th has been declared a public holiday throughout the province on the death anniversary of Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto Shaheed.
The public holiday has been declared for all offices, autonomous, semi-autonomous bodies, corporations, and local councils under the administrative control of the government of Sindh, except the essential services.
It should be noted this is the second public holiday this week after December 25 was observed as an off day to celebrate Quaid’s 147th birth anniversary.
The government’s official announcement has dispelled any uncertainties regarding December 27 being a public holiday.
